Our mission and inspiration

Moved by the Love and the Word of God and inspired by Vincent de Paul and Peter Joseph Triemissioncepetrist our Founder,  we work at improving the quality of life of the poor (the aged, the sick, the youth, the disabled (physical and mental) both in their material and spiritual condition.

We develop living communities of service where the inspiration of the Gospel values motivates our efforts to join professional competence and compassion for a better service.

We believe that, preserving what remains of life in people wounded in their human capacities, alleviating their suffering and opening new perspectives out of their misery, is already an experience of the joy of the Resurrection here and now on earth.

“You know the painful situation of the infortunate and the miserable sick, who never have a day of happiness, for whom the sun never shines, and for whom the earth produces only thorns, for the flowers are always for the rich… Those miserable who seem more dead than living… well, it is to them that we give new life, it is them we must resurrect, is is for them we must create a new sun and a new earth (Rev 21.1).”   P.J. Triest

A mission carried in the Vincentian spirituality

When Jesus said: “What you do to the least of mine you do unto Me” (Mt 25) he started a huge revolution because when we see Christ in the poor we begin to serve them as our Masters and we continue the mission of Christ.

Translating the love of God through compassion and professional care.

“To give life to unfortunate and suffering people; to give them garments to cover themselves; to prepare their medicines which even though these may not cure, will relieve their pain; to make the beds on which they can rest their infirm bodies; to sweeten their life by cleaning and tending their wounds; to snatch them from the jaws of death, does not such care bring a ray of sunshine into their lives?” Father Triest.

The importance of the works of charity in the Church

“In the Church the exercise of charity became established as one of her essential activities, along with the administration of the sacraments and the proclamation of the word: love for widows and orphans, prisoners, and the sick and needy of every kind, is as essential to her as the ministry of the sacraments and preaching of the Gospel. The Church cannot neglect the service of charity any more than she can neglect the Sacraments and the Word”. (22 in Deus Caritas Est)    Pope Benedictine XVI
